It was the end of another beautiful day in paradise. Ice cold beer and marsh mellows by the fire was a fitting end to another long day. Posh and Dickson had seen lots of animals in the country and had traveled around the most of Botswana. They had seen lots of elephants and Posh was tired of getting charged protective mothers.
The next day was earmarked for animal tracking of fresh track signs, but we couldn’t find anything fresh and interesting. At 3 pm, we ventured out for an afternoon nature drive as to look for another fresh of leopard. As we were driving about, we saw lots and lots of animal tracks that went pass over night and all of a sudden I came to see this very fresh track of a male leopard that was on a mission to hunt.
We followed the track for half an hour because it was meandering in to thickets of mopane wood land to a nice open flood plain. I was just about to give up the hunt cause now it was getting hot and sweat aws trickling down my face when we came to this two red lechwe bull sparring, not knowing that there were being stocked by a leopard. We saw a leopard as it stated slushing it belly to the ground, stocking as to get more closer to the target, which took another 45 minutes to an hour and got to it pausing towards the buck.
