What is it to become a safari guide

Being a safari guide is not just khaki shorts and people carrying binos and rifles, but it is all about hosting, entertaining, advising others and taking guests to areas of interest like parks and game reserves.

Being a guide is a process that highlights someone’s passion, enthusiasm and authentic bush knowledge to explore the African bushveld and to share it with your guests. Building the skills of becoming safari guide is no easy task and to develop them fully takes years. In my own experience of being a safari guide for ten years was not a job but an incredible life experience that I get to share with the most unbelievable guests and my amazing work mate.

I do not think that you can find people who are happier and smiling more than a safari guide. The truth is, guiding is a bush language that not so many people understand. So, this is my description of my passion that allows me to be known as a safari guide.
